Singapore, 16 April 2015: Casio Singapore announced today the launch of the new OCEANUS OCW-G1000 series, built with Casio’s original hybrid timekeeping system for utmost precision.
“The OCEANUS range pairs Casio’s latest timepiece technology with style and elegance designed for discerning gentlemen with a sense of fashion and adventure. Equipped with the GPS Hybrid Wave Ceptor technology, the OCEANUS OCW-G1000 is the ideal companion and accessory to the frequent traveller,” said Mr Koyu Kotani, Assistant General Manager, Timepiece Division, Casio Singapore.
The new OCW-G1000 series will feature a Casio original technology of Hybrid Timekeeping system that utilizes both Global Positioning System (GPS) signals and radio wave time-calibration signals to ensure precise timekeeping, no matter where one is in the world. A single push of a button enables wearers to access the exact location information, determine the time zone and adjust for daylight savings in a quick seven seconds. It also comes with a Dual Dial World Time function that confirms the time in two different cities simultaneously; a seamless fit for the globe-trotting gentleman to stay on top of matters.
Utilizing shadow-dispersing solar cell technology, the OCW-G1000 efficiently receives light using a smaller surface area, resulting in a refined watch surface design. The watch face is made with dual-curved sapphire glass with an anti-reflective coating on both sides for visibility, while the case is Sallaz polished for a lustrous finish, slim styling and quality feel.
The OCEANUS OCW-G1000-1A and OCW-G1000B-1A are priced at S$2,799 and the OCW-G1000B-1A2 is priced at S$3,199. All three models are available exclusively at all G-Factory and G-Factory PREMIUM stores in Singapore.
