Andrew Manktelow, Operating Partner –BONCRŪ Fine Wines
Andrew’s career in the wine industry started in 1988 when he joined one of the UK’s leading wine merchants. After 11 years in Wine Retail Management he turned his attention to hospitality and for 3 years managed a boutique hotel in Southern England.
He then moved to Bordeaux, France where he took up the position of UK Marketing Manager for the Negociant House Louis Vialard SAS, based at Chateau Cissac in the heart of the Medoc.
Here, Andrew learnt first hand about the art of vine growing and wine making; a chance that not many of us will be able to experience.
In 2006 it was time for another change of scenery and Hong Kong was the place to be, continuing to work for Louis Vialard for 2 years before becoming the Fine Wine Director of ASC Fine Wines, China’s biggest and arguably best Wine Merchants.
In 2012 he and his family relocated Singapore where he rejoined Louis Vialard SAS as their Ambassador for the Asia Pacific region and in 2014, he and three others set up BONCRŪ FINE WINES in order to bring the best to Singapore, provenance guaranteed.
