Singapore, March 11 2016: Helpling, the leading online marketplace for household services outside the U.S. and China, today appoints Philippe Limes as the new CEO for Helpling Asia.
Philippe Limes combines extensive knowledge of the APAC markets and a deep understanding of marketplaces and e-commerce companies. Before joining Helpling, Limes gained experience in more mature companies – such as Showroomprive.com, which recently went public – as well as being a serial entrepreneur in the start-up world.
Philippe Limes commenting on his new appointment, said, “I am very happy and proud to join such a successful team and extraordinary company. Helpling Asia has become the leading household brand within just one year of market entry. I am honoured to continue this success and will be focusing on bringing accelerated growth to our most promising markets, Singapore and Australia.
Yeen Teck Hoe, who had joined Helpling as part of the acquisition of his company Spickify over a year ago, has left the company to join CtrlWorks, a Singapore-based robotics startup focusing on autonomous guided vehicles. During his time as Managing Director, he successfully positioned Helpling as the market leader in Singapore.
Benedikt Franke, co-founder of Helpling said: “We are very proud to welcome Philippe to the Helpling family. With his strong expertise in marketplace and e-commerce businesses, he is well equipped to guide the Asian operation on its path to sustained growth and profitability. We thank Yeen Teck for his dedication and hard work over the last year. We wish him the best of luck in his future endeavours.”
