Hotel Indigo Celebrates Inspiring Neighbourhood Stories with #myneighbourhoodcontest


Singapore, April 2015: Hotel Indigo is rewarding four travellers who shared the most inspiring neighbourhood stories in its#myneighbourhoodcontest, a 5-week contest celebrating the launch of Hotel Indigo Bangkok Wireless Road, Southeast Asia’s first Hotel Indigo.

Each winner will enjoy an exciting 4-day, 3-night trip for two, inclusive of return flights, with Hotel Indigo in Asia. Winners will get to bring along a friend for the trip and choose from either Hotel Indigo Shanghai on the BundHotel Indigo Hong Kong Island or Hotel Indigo Bangkok Wireless Road for their holiday.

From 25 February to 1 April 2015, fans and travellers were invited to share photos of their favourite neighbourhood in the categories of Food, Art and Culture, along with a description of why it inspires them. There was also a bonus Wireless Road category, for participants who shared photos of Wireless Road in Bangkok where Hotel Indigo illuminated the neighbourhood with lights, music and a glittering celebration party on 13 and 14 March 2015 for the launch of Hotel Indigo Bangkok Wireless Road .

A judging panel comprising IHG and Hotel Indigo representatives along with six travel and lifestyle personalities from Thailand, Hong Kong and Singapore scored the entries based on overall picture composition (25%), subject matter (25%), originality and creativity (25%) and picture description (25%). Over 1,500 entries were shared via #myneighbourhoodcontest and Michael (@world_food_radar) from Hong Kong, Elysia Chan from South Korea, Lin Tan (@lin_t) from Singapore and Maeuu (@maeuume) from Thailand emerged winners in the Food, Art, Culture and Wireless Road categories respectively.
