IHG Signs Deal for New InterContinental in West Jakarta

350-key InterContinental in Jakarta to comprise hotel and serviced residences

Singapore, 17 December 2014: InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) has signed a management agreement with PT. Ciputra Puri Trisula, part of PT Ciputra Property Tbk, a leading property developer in Indonesia, to develop an InterContinental hotel in Jakarta. Located in the central business district (CBD) of West Jakarta, Puri Kembangan, the new development will comprise the 200-room InterContinental Jakarta West and 150-key InterContinental Jakarta West Residences.

The new InterContinental Jakarta West & InterContinental Jakarta West Residenceswill be part of the 7.4-hectare Ciputra International complex owned by PT. Ciputra Puri Trisula, which will comprise ten high-rise towers. When complete, InterContinental Jakarta West will be situated alongside six office buildings and three apartment blocks, linked by a lifestyle and retail section.

 

The hotel will feature a number of food and beverage options, including an all-day dining, a deli, a speciality restaurant and a lobby lounge. Guests opting for some time away from the bustle of the city can take respite at the spa or the club lounge, whilst those staying at the serviced apartments can take a break at the residents’ lounge or enjoy joint facilities such as the pool and health club.

 

Catering for meetings and events, InterContinental Jakarta West will also offer a ballroom, meetings spaces as well as a business centre for guests who require access to business facilities on the go.

 

Guests will also appreciate the hotel’s strategic location along the recently completed Jakarta Outer Ring Road, which is a short distance from the Soekarno-Hatta International Airport and provides quick access to core areas of the city.

IHG currently has 13 properties across four brands in Indonesia: InterContinental, Crowne Plaza, Holiday Inn and Holiday Inn Express. There are currently two InterContinental hotels in Indonesia: InterContinental Jakarta Midplaza and InterContinental Bali.

 

InterContinental Jakarta West joins a pipeline of 29 properties opening in Indonesia over the next three to five years. There are four InterContinental hotels and resorts in the pipeline, including InterContinental Dago Pakar and InterContinental Bali Canggu Resort.
