SingTel brings world’s first 150Mbps 4G smartphone to Singapore

Singapore 5 June 2013SingTel customers will be the first in Singapore to get their hands on the world’s fastest smartphone. This cutting edge 4G smartphone is the first handset in the world to support mobile broadband connections with speeds of up to 150Mbps.

It will be available at the PC Show from 6 June with a subscription to a SingTel Flexi plan.

Mr Johan Buse, SingTel’s Vice President of Consumer Marketing, said: “Earlier this year, SingTel set a new benchmark by boosting the maximum speeds of its 4G network from 75Mbps to 150Mbps. We are thrilled to introduce the first of the next generation of 4G handsets that can take full advantage of the higher speeds. Our customers can look forward to many more of such devices in the coming months.”

All SingTel 4G customers will be able to enjoy the higher speeds at no extra charge with the Huawei Ascend P2 and future compatible handsets.

“Consumers are increasingly reliant on their mobile devices for information, entertainment, commerce and their lifestyle needs. With speeds of up to 150Mbps, they will be able to perform even more tasks on-the-move and enjoy a significantly faster and smoother experience,” Mr Buse said.
