Western Digital introduces the new WD TV Mini Media Player

Western Digital today introduced a new version of its popular WD TV™ media player. The new WD TV™ Mini Media Player now enables playback of RealVideo™ content and provides a more affordable way for consumers to play their stored digital content on their televisions.


The WD TV™ Mini Media Player connects to a user’s TV or home theatre and plays digital movies, music and photos stored on storage devices USB mass storage devices. The new compact design is small and portable enough for users to easily take with them when they travel.

  • Broad format support including Real Media
  • Simple, intuitive user interface
  • Upscale to 1080i resolution (480 decode)
  • Thumbnail and video preview support
  • Built-in file management allows user to copy or delete files
  • Built-in Picture Transfer Protocol (PTP) – Play/copy pictures and videos directly from a digital camera/camrecorder
  • Built-in search function

The WD TV™ Mini Media Player is now available at selected retailers and is distributed by AMC Pacific Pte Ltd in Singapore. The recommended retail price is S$129 and the device comes with 1-year limited warranty.
